There is an inherent problem in that the administration really requires more structure. Part time staff fail to pass on important information on occasions or do not read prescription requests carefully. Important e mail messages are sometimes missed or seem to go missing when sent from locations for example London Hospital s where patients have or are receiving treatment. There is too much reliance on computer information storage. This is a shame because the practice does work hard. It should be brought home that administration in this environment is very important and concerns the health and well being of patients casualness of approach could result in something serious occuring

Its great unless you want to see someone. Showed up at 7:15 for a 7:30 appointment to find an empty car park and locked door with a sig by the door saying service starts 8:30. Assuming id made a mistake i went and retured at 8:15 to find a haught secretary tell me that i'd missed my appointment and hat she had been there since 7:10, despite the photo's id taken and showed because people forget we have phones with these now to prove falsehoods. It looks like ill have to wait another 4 weeks on top of the 4 already to see someone Its only acute pain when i walk. Wvery interaction i have with the NHS is another one where i feel more and more like its not worth what we pay.

I was a patient at this surgery for over 30 years and always felt that I had the best surgery every. I continually tell people how wonderful it is and was really disappointed to have to move surgery when I moved across the river. The triage system really worked and, as my husband is housebound, a doctor always visited when needed. The surgery I am registered with now could learn a lot as it is almost impossible to get an appointment unless you can predict when you are going to be ill.

Appointment are always late by a minimum of 20mintes. I have a young daughter and her immunisation was cancelled and then rescheduled a week after which meant 6 weeks between doses as there are never any appointment. The phone rings for ages when try to make an appointment. The plus side is that the doctors and midwife here are very good and I always do get a good care.

This surgery offers a phone back service, where the staff triage you from the information you give when telephoning the surgery and then you will receive a return call from the appropriate practitioner. In my experience, on several occasions, this has worked very well. Chest pains in my husband received very prompt attention with call back within minutes and an appointment on the same morning leading to referral - all solved happily and quickly. A wasp sting seemed minor but the swelling of the hand and arm prompted me to seek advice. I was called back by the practice nurse within an hour, given an appointment the same morning and prescribed to kill the serious infection invading from the sting. This is an excellent service that has never failed to meet my needs promptly and efficiently.
