Rude receptionist staff, lack of training, education and ability, they suffer doctors receptionist syndrome, think they are medically trained, they misdiagnosed my wife five times, mis informed what tests were available, be it their own nursing staff contradicted this, we spent over £100 on medication due to misdiagnoses, really poor surgery, lacking ability and i personally would not trust them in any capacity, i have advised my wife to move away from here, very dangerous practice
This surgery is struggling with their Reception staff. So sick of listening to hold music I recorded 189 attempts to call at 8:30am for an (emergency) on the day appointment, when you get through the reception staff clearly can’t cope and are rude in particular Karen Green, she has an awful attitude towards patients on a face to face basis and over the phone. If you do manage to get an appointment there is no flexibility on the time it’s a “take this one or go elsewhere attitude” from the reception staff! How people who work manage to see a doctors is impossible. This is applied even for routine appointments not emergencies.
I called to ask for an emergency appointment. After having to explain to a receptionist why I felt I warranted such a coveted space, I was given an appointment with one of the nurses in Woburn Sands. She was lovely, however, as soon as I explained why I was there she immediately got me an appointment with a doctor ( at the Woburn practice). Two hours and a very uncomfortable journey later I was back home with treatment. The care I received from the nurse, doctor and healthcare assistant was wonderful, it's just a shame that the medically untrained receptionist took it upon herself to make a medical decision; leading to two emergency appointments being used, so denying another patient the opportunity to see someone.
Generally an awesome surgery.
The receptionists range from extremely helpful to people who shouldn’t have a job on a reception!
The attitude of the practise seems to be is that patients are a chore rather than being treated as valued customers. Reception closed for phone calls at lunch time (message says ring after 2pm) --closed at just the time many people able to call.
Most appointments run late but no word as to why or how long delay will be.
