My wife and I were referred to Dr. Anju Kulkarni for a genetics consultation following a recent prostate cancer diagnosis for me, and a historical breast cancer diagnosis for my wife.
The administrative process and follow up was seamless and efficient, and her staff extremely responsive.
In clinical terms, I found Dr. Kulkarni to have an exceptionally compassionate and sympathetic bedside manner, and a deep knowledge and understanding not only of the medical and genetic position, as one might expect, but also of the types of anxieties and issues to which this process can give rise - not just about oneself, but about one's children and other relatives, and the worries they might face.
The risks, issues, outcomes and possible next steps were all very clearly explained and, had matters gone further forward, I would have felt completely reassured and comforted knowing that Dr. Kulkarni was our guiding hand.
I would recommend Dr. Kulkarni unhesitatingly.

The entire staff from receptionists answering phone to Dr. Kulkarni are absolutely knowledgeable and helpful. The work the doctors do is a so amazing ! Thank you all for you help and the greatest gift of all I got by working with you was that I have a long healthy life ahead of me xx Thanks a million times over!

My contact with Dr Kulkarni was via remote consultation. Her manner and clarity of communication provided confidence in her professional competence, and reassurance that she had understood the basis of the consultation.

I was referred to Dr.Kulkarni by my oncologist because of family history with cancer. From the very first call she was kind, compassionate, listened, and explained everything I needed to know in a way that wasn't overwhelming. I would defiantly recommend Dr.Kulkarni for genetic testing.

Anju is a Consultant Clinical Geneticist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital. She graduated with distinctions in Medicine and Pathology from Imperial College School of Medicine in 2000 and subsequently trained at specialist level in both Medical Oncology, at University College London Hospital, and Clinical Genetics at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, the Kennedy – Galton centre and the Royal Marsden Hospital.
Anju has specific expertise in the field of Cancer Genetics. She has developed several guidelines for the management of individuals with an inherited susceptibility to cancer, including an internationally recognised Cancer Genetics app for healthcare professionals. She leads multidisciplinary specialist clinics for BRCA1/2 gene mutation carriers and other rarer hereditary cancer conditions.
Anju is a member of the Sarah Cannon Research Institutes’ Genomic Review Board and medical advisor to the UK Genetic Counselling Registration Board. She has extensive clinical and academic experience in Cancer Genetics and has published, presented and taught on the topic at national and international level.
