From my initial consultation with Mr Masterson, I was very impressed with his caring and compassionate conduct. He explained thoroughly about my hip revision and made me feel very safe and at ease. His patient/doctor manner is exemplary, and I consider myself very fortunate to have been allocated him to be my consultant. There are consultants and there is Mr Masterson. Thank you, Mr Masterson, for an excellent result.

I was very hesitant about having a replacement knee operation but Mr Masterson went through the procedure & gave me the confidence to go ahead. He explained everything & answered every question clearly and honestly and I am so glad I went ahead. I had a total knee replacement in September this year and am so pleased with the result, the scaring is minimal and fading fast. My mobility has greatly improved and my quality of life similarly. I am now due to have my other knee replaced early next year and am so grateful it will be Mr Masterson who will carry out the operation.

I did my own research on line to find out more about what's happening to my hip as I had two falls and fractured my right hip.however I've contacted 4 private hospital s and was told to take pain killers although I had to pay for my x-rays one hospital told me the best thing is to do the stem cells which I did but after paying so much money I was still in pain... However I've contacted Spire hospital and was given a list of doctors who specialises in hip and knee surgery...I chose Dr Masterson as his review was very good made an appointment for my consultation, However after my x-rays Dr Masterson had explained to me what was going on to my hip and to his surprise he thought I should be in a wheelchair because it was so bad that he couldn't understand how I was still walking without an aide.... However after explaining to me he gave me 2 dates just before Christmas or after I chose after because it was so serious couldn't walk couldn't sleep and even scared to go outside of my house Mr Masterson was very assuring that the procedure would make me feel better I went along and I am very happy I did... I am so thankful and happy with my results and would certainly recommend him and his team at Spire hospital nursing staff...the hospitality was great the after care was excellent ver accomodating....Now I had my second hip surgery doing great after 8 months walking with my crotch going to parties no one would think I had two surgeries within 8 months..Dr Masterson you are the best please continue to shine

I first saw Mr Masterton about 5 years ago when he saw me at Queens Hospital and identified that both my hips would need replacing. I remained on the waiting list for surgery until July 2021 when Mr Masterton successfully operated on my left hip. He also in May of this year 2022 replaced my right hip. Throughout all this time my condition had been monitored by Mr Masterson and his staff and throughout I have been treated with the utmost courtesy and professionalism by Mr Masterson. I saw Mr Masterson at Queens on Friday 11th November 2022 to discuss my hip replacements and current progress. He was extremely pleased with the progress and now is satisfied that I do not need further treatment. My personal opinion of Mr Masterson's professionalism, reputation and caring attitude, is a great credit to himself and the hospital. I wish him every success for the future, in the confidence that I know he will continue his excellent work.
