Mr Osama has been guiding me through ACL reconstruction surgery and recovery for more than a year. He is very polite and gentle, patiently explaining available treatment options and possible outcomes, and taking into account my preferences whenever possible.

Mr Aweid has shown empathy and excellent listening skills during the course of consultation as to the right way forward to manage painful somewhat worn-out and consequently degeneration in my knees. He explained the likely future consequence and healing process in understandable plain language and is always happy to answer any questions. Opting for High Tibial Osteopathy Operations I am 6 weeks post second op and my movement is improving and the pain, especially at night has eased. It is early days but I am optimistic this was the right procedure for my needs. The operations went very well without any complication for which I am truly grateful. Mr Aweid has a personable and gentle manner and is easy to talk to. He is considerate and concerned for my future mobility and hopeful improved sport type abilities post op. As I write this review I am 6 weeks post operation and find it hard to believe the difference that my partial knee replacement has already made to the quality of my life , this life enhancing operation was carried out by the very excellent Mr Osama Aweid at the Wrexham Maelor Hospital . From the time of our first meeting at Mr Awied’s clinic I was made to feel very comfortable with his very personable approach, Mr Aweid talked to me and not at me, he explained that he could do an operation that would improve my life limiting situation as anyone with arthritic knee pain would know, a date was put in the diary and whole experience was quite amazing , starting of with the pre operative knee clinic hosted by Mr Colin Griffiths where patients get to meet the ward staff and District nurses who’s care you will be in during and after your operation , very well organised and informative In conclusion I feel that I have been most fortunate to have been treated by such a highly skilled surgeon as Mr Osama Awied, a quite exceptional caring individual and would recommend Mr Awied to anyone faced with the prospect of knee surgery , my partner has had a total knee replacement privately and did not get anything like the care that I have received both pre and post surgery from the NHS Wrexham Maelor.

Personal care, felt you were important. Listened to individual and provided what was needed. Even telephoned me at home, which was great support. Couldn't find any better care than was given.

This doctor explained everything fully prior to my surgery. The service I received before, during and following my operation was exceptional and I would recommend this doctor without hesitation. I am really happy with the results of the surgery which exceeds my expectations, although he explained that I would continue to improve over the next few weeks.
