He combines professionalism and surgical skill with empathy, openness and friendliness with patients, even though he was extremely fully booked. I have met him three times now in recent months and always he has demonstrated outstanding characteristics.

This man is not only very good at his job, he puts your mind at rest and is prepared to discuss your needs.

Amazing! Explained everything clearly & put me at ease as I was quite nervous.A very confident & likeable man with a sense of humour too!

Mr Riffat heads a really good, though extremely busy, department. All staff are welcoming whilst being efficient and all give good, friendly care.

I am currently looked after by Mr Rifaat at Maidstone Hospital for my Diabetic Retinopathy, he has listened to me drone on about my condition and has explored all possible treatments for me. I would highly recommend him to anyone and think he is one of the best specialists I have seen
