Mr Cope has replaced both of my knees over the last 6 years, He is professional, knowledgeable, and most of all approachable. He listens to what you say, rather than hearing without listening. I would wholeheartedly recommend him, if you need a Hip or Knee replacement.

I was referred to Mr Cope by my GP. Was really impressed with him. From the initial consultation through to the knee surgery and follow up, Mr Cope was helpful and informative and ultimately the best measure of his skill is that my injury has been resolved and has healed well. The whole team at Renacres were great, so they deserve a pat on the back too. Well done everyone and thank you once again Mr Cope. Kind regards Dave Rooney

Mr Cope was first recommended to me by a colleague in 2009 following her surgery. She explained that along with his first class skills as a surgeon, he also had second to none empathic skills. To be able to understand another’s pain, is for me, one of the most important things, secondary to surgical skills obviously. Mr Cope undertook my first total knee replacement in 2010 and I’ve recently undergone my left hip replacement (24/5/21). The right was undertaken in 2014. Throughout all of my surgery over the years, Mr Cope has been nothing short of a miracle in helping to relieve myself of pain when I needed it most. His attention to detail and respect for his patients is first class. I was seen as a NHS patient, however, Mr Cope makes no distinction whatsoever and I applaud him for this (albeit that I am an NHS employee). I would like to offer my sincere thanks again to Mr Cope for his continued care over the years in him helping me overcome this most debilitating disease of osteoarthritis. I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone for his care.

It is with the greatest of pleasure that I sing the praises of Mr Marcus Cope. This is with regard to a total knee replacement of my left knee which took place on June 4th 2021. I had a long wait for the op due to having to lose weight and the Covid restrictions. At the pre op at Renacres I was provided with sound advice and plenty of written information to prepare me. The day of the op arrived and I was jittery but I need not have worried the care I received post op was superb. Physio Paul, as with Mr Cope, explained so much and I knew on discharge how to get my knee functioning. More importantly at that time from the moment my knee touched the floor post op I felt no pain! The pain, from my experience anyway, is that the operated leg is swollen, very swollen, and of course this includes the scar area and inevitably it makes it hard/painful to bend. Perseverance paid off and I soon found it more able to bend as some of the swelling reduced. All of the information provided pre op informed of the swelling and how long this can last so it is nothing to be alarmed about. I have osteoarthritis elsewhere but have reduced the amount of prescribed pain relief dramatically. This has got to be a good thing. My biggest achievement post op is using a pedal bin as I previously I found it impossible to stand on my sore leg to operate the pedal with my good leg. Just a simple, everyday activity but just one of many things that an arthritic knee affects. So thank you Mr Cope from the bottom of my heart for all that you have done for me in improving the quality of my life!
