I cannot thank Mr Sampat enough for the outstanding care I received from him during the lockdown period. I was referred to him after a scan showed my baby was breech. After he confirmed this at 37 weeks, Mr Sampat talked me through the different options going forward. He allowed me to make my own decisions whilst also guiding me through the positives and potential risks of all options. After deciding on an elective caesarean, Mr Sampat booked me in to have the operation performed by him even though it was a week when he was doing emergency caesareans. I was so reassured when we he said he would do everything he could to perform the surgery himself as I had complete trust in his kind, gentle manner and exceptional knowledge. On the day of the operation, he came and spoke to my husband and I in an incredible relaxed way, we didn’t feel we were part of ‘his job’ at all. The caesarean itself amazed both of us for not only was our baby delivered safely, the speed at which Mr Sampat worked was astounding. The midwife looking after me said it was only one minute from the first cut to our boy being delivered- something she said she’d never seen before. The day after surgery, Mr Sampat came and visited me in the ward to see how I was and I also bumped into him again at a later point. He took the time to stop and talk, something I noticed the other women who had had caesareans on my ward didn’t get from their surgeons. My recovery has been textbook, the scar neat and healing well and I want to say a huge thank you to Mr Sampat enough for making such a nerve wracking and huge occasion at such a stressful time in the world so positive.

I recently gave birth to my son at 36 weeks which would not have been possible without the cervical stitch and care I received throughout my pregnancy by Mr Sampat. The advice I received throughout was brilliant and the aftercare has also been invaluable.

Dr Sampat was an amazing consultant during my pregnancy. He was understanding to my needs whilst providing me with informative information regarding my pregnancy in which I had a low lying placenta. He also took the time to check up on me after I had my baby which showed an unbelievable standard in aftercare. Thank you Dr Sampat and thank you for being so patient with all my questions.

I have recently given birth to my son through SVD and this would not have been possible if it wasn't for Mr Sampat. I have a heart condition and an ICD which we thought would prevent a normal delivery but with many meetings Mr Sampat pushed for this and made it possible and for that I will be forever grateful. I cannot fault Mr Sampat in any way he regularly checked in to make sure I was feeling okay during the pregnancy and after the birth. He listened to everything me and my partner had to say at every appointment we had and he had meetings with London and his team at darent Valley to make sure there was a plan in place for my labour and every knew about my situation. When I have my next child I will definitely be going back to Mr Sampat in clinic.
