This is the second c-section I have had with Dr Sampat. He is incredibly professional whilst also putting my husband and I at complete ease. We knew we were in safe hands and his handling of the procedure and his after-care cannot be faulted. I am forever grateful for his support and bringing two of our sons safely into the world.

I first met Mr Sampat at my 32 weeks appointment. As I have a chronic medical condition, I had no choice but to have a C Section. I also had added complications due to Placenta Praevia adding to the need of the C Section. Mr Sampat put my mind at ease and explained what would happen and booked me in for 37 weeks as this would lower the risk of me going in to natural labour. On the day, he came in and introduced himself to my husband, who had not been able to attend appointments due to Covid and explained what would happen in detail. Before he started the section he took the time to find out our wishes in how we wanted to find out the sex and made sure the rest of the team knew. I did not feel anything during the process and when baby was born, the curtain was pushed down so we could see our baby being born. Mr Sampat done as we asked and let us see the sex ourselves. Before I knew it I was stitched up and Mr Sampat congratulated us before leaving the theatre. When back in recovery, he came in to see us, congratulated us again and told me that the section had gone better than anticipated due to the risks with the placenta. Nearly 3 weeks later my wound is healing well and looking as though it will hardly be visible once fully healed.. Mr Sampat was very approachable and I felt completely at ease in talking to him regarding my wishes and the procedure. I would highly recommend him.

This is the second year abs pregnancy in a row I have had Dr Sampat, I fall under consultancy during pregnancy abs I requested to have Dr Sampat again as the care that he provides is at great standards! Dr Sampat always gives you the advice and reassurance you need. Thank you for being such a credit to your area of expertise, if only there were more like you! Thank you again :)

Mr Sampat performed a successful ECV on me during my pregnancy and the experience was extremely positive. I was anxious about the procedure after reading about it online, but Mr Sampat was extremely calm and reassuring and made myself & my partner feel at ease. Very grateful for his care!

I would like to express my gratitude for the care I have recently received by Dr Sampat and his team. Following the diagnosis of an ectopic pregnancy at the Early Pregnancy Unit, I was informed that I would undergo the necessary surgery which included a Laparoscopy and Salpingectomy. This was to be done as an unplanned surgery due to the risks and it all came as a shock to me, I was so nervous. Dr Sampat and his team (including the doctors, nurses and anaesthecian ) came to visit me in EPU so quickly and was so understanding of my situation, the communication before during and after the surgery was in my and my husbands eyes outstanding. Dr Sampat answered all our questions, informed me and my husband of all the scenarios regarding the surgery, gave us a good all round understanding of ectopic pregnancy, after care and follow up.  I really was made to feel as ease and I couldn't have felt more confident that I was in the right hands. From myself and my husband, we would like to share this positive experience, appreciation and really thank Dr Sampat and his team for carrying out this life saving surgical procedure. We really are very grateful.
