I met Mr Lohn in Nov 2020. I had massive 34GG breasts with 27 year old implants in, and wanted them removed plus a reduction and new smaller implants at first. I have 3/4of my spine fused so the weight on my upper back and neck was an issue. At first I thought I'd wanted new, smaller implants put in as I was used to a good breast size for many years. Then covid hit and surgery was postponed twice, but meanwhile, with further consultations, plus another huge spinal operation, we re evaluated, it was much safer to do just the reduction/lift,I had plenty of flesh. God bless Mr Lohn for seeing what was right for my body. My right implant had burst, if I'd gone down the new implant route it would've been wrong. I trust Mr Lohn with every decision we made together from day 1, I am so very grateful to him and the whole team, Alix Graham his PA. Mr Lohn also works alongside my spinal surgeon Mr Lui, I was in good hands.i have beautiful 34D breasts that are very natural, I feel liberated. Mr Lohn was brought in to help with repair of a complex ventral hernia which I had developed as a consequence of a previous abdominal surgery (not done by Mr Lohn). He explained things clearly, he is very detail-oriented and patient; I felt like I was being listened to, and understood. Crucially (and I imagine this comes from years of doing cosmetic procedures, although mine wasn't one), he set realistic expectations and helped me come to terms with the fact that things will never be the same as before - but that he will do whatever he can to make sure they are restored as close as possible. Initially, I felt like he could come across as being a bit negative, discussing every single possible side-effect, but I later realised that having the right kind of information is crucial in allowing the patient to make an informed choice. It is the responsible thing to do. Being a surgical patient can be a lonely, frightening experience; the loss of independence (even if it is temporary) is terrifying, and having Mr Lohn by my side played a significant role in helping me get through it with as little scarring as possible (pun intended). I'm glad I no longer need to see him in a hospital setting - but I do miss our interaction very much. I hope he never needs the kind of care I received from him, but that if he does, that he will have a physician half as skilled as he is - and he'll be just fine. He is a great guy and a talented surgeon.

I decided to have surgery after many years of hating how my tummy looked. I always chose clothes that were loose fitting around the area, despite people telling me how ‘lucky’ I was with my figure. After my consultation with Jonathan, he confirmed that my muscles had split irreparably due to pregnancy, so I would never achieve the look I wanted through exercise alone. Jonathan is very realistic about what results you can achieve through surgery - and gives you time to consider the complexities before making such a big decision. It turned out I had a LOT of time to consider as my op was cancelled just 2 days before it was due to happen because of COVID, and I eventually had the surgery one year later. The care I received from Jonathan and Alix, his PA, was exemplary; pre-operatively, during and after the op. Jonathan seems to genuinely care about his patients, puts your mind at rest, and doesn’t make anything feel like a silly question. I’m very pleased with the results 3 months on, and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending in him. I just wish I’d done it years ago!

Very pleased with my surgery. Dr Lohn and his team were very professional, caring and they listened to my views and opinions so pleased I picked him to do the surgery at Nuffield health Guildford. Also his secretary Alex was very helpful and would recommend Dr Lohn and his team 100%. Several months after operation I am on the mend and totally happy with the results.

After 3 years of hating my post c-section stomach I eventually plucked up the courage to look in to having an abdominoplasty. My research led me to Mr Lohn and within the first few minutes of my initial consultation, I knew that I had chosen the right consultant for my surgery. I was incredibly nervous and felt embarrassed that I was considering such a big operation just because I wasn’t happy with my stomach, but Mr Lohn instantly put me at ease and on examining me, he explained that I had quite significant muscle separation that wouldn’t heal itself which often caused back pain (something I have suffered with for many years). He went through the procedure with my husband and I in great detail including the risks, realistic results and recovery, he listened to my concerns and answered all of my many questions. There was never any pressure to make any decisions and I went away with a lot to think about and the reassurance of a further consultation if I decided to go ahead. Unfortunately, due to COVID my operation was cancelled so I had my operation 7 months later after a further consultation. Alix, Mr Lohn’s secretary, is delightful and was always available to answer my questions and talked me through a few panics! I cannot fault the care I received from Mr Lohn, Alix or The Nuffield Guildford, particularly as it was during such uncertain times. Mr Lohn is a first-class surgeon, has a wonderful bed side manner and truly cares about his patients. The results are amazing - I can now wear fitted clothes and I no longer have constant back ache!
