Hussein is currently pursuing a post CCT Otology fellowship at Gloucesthershire NHS Foundation Trust, having completed higher surgical training in Mersey and Wales Deaneries. After completing undergraduate training at Cardiff University, he went on to pursue a teaching fellowship at Bristol University due to his interest in medical education. Hussein received the Tarabichi-Stammberger Scholarship in 2017 to attend the Endoscopic live ear surgery and cadaveric dissection course in Dubai. He is a core member of the Association of Otolaryngologists in Training (AOT) advocating for trainees at national forums. He has been a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in England since 2021 and has authored a book chapter and several articles in peer-reviewed journals.
