While absolutely recognising that I am looked after by a talented and caring NHS team of experts this review is specifically concerning Mr. Gidon Ellis.
So...do I find Gidon to be an experienced, specialist doctor? Yes I do.
Do I feel his extensive knowledge and expertise will be wholeheartedly applied to my personal health crisis? Yes I do.
I have had serious health issues and a difficult genetic medical history but none of this has intimidated Gidon in his ongoing treatment of me.
Gidon makes me feel part of the team, that we truly are working together to beat the 'enemy'.
I feel part of the solution rather than being the problem.
I have been blessed with excellent treatment with previous oncology issues by other experts, I am still here so testament to their care.
BUT...once again I am lucky enough to have a doctor, Gidon Ellis, who takes the time to explain, to listen, to cover the fear points. Gidon has humour and humility, is open and willing to keep me informed in the manner I prefer-blunt and honest-but applied with kindness and warmth and understanding.
I feel confident within Gidon's medical care, secure in the knowledge that he will leave no stone unturned in finding me a safe place to be medically and emotionally. He will give 10% plus some to get us to our winning line.
Gidon takes the far and turns it into optimism and hopefulness.
Yes, I am blessed with an excellent doctor, and good human being,who is dedicated.

Mr Ellis gave clear explanations of the cause of my problem and of the treatments available. He also gave detailed answers to my questions and I did not feel rushed for time in clarifying details. I would unhesitatingly recommend him to any patient for his specialism.

One of the most empathetic medicos I have met: clear and patient in explaining diagnosis, treatment and prognosis, obviously very knowledgeable and treats patients like fellow humans. I could almost say undergoing a prostatectomy under his care was a pleasure.

Mr Gidon Ellis is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.
He has a broad general urology practice with specialist interests in kidney stones, male lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) and laser prostate surgery (HoLEP). He also specialises in the diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment of urothelial cancers in the bladder and upper urinary tracts.
He is a core member of the bladder cancer, renal cancer and stone MDTs. He has served as faculty member on various national and international workshops and masterclasses in both stone management and HoLEP surgery.
