Mr Mallidis took time to listen to me and was understanding of my health anxiety issue heightened greatly by an nhs referral. He explained things clearly and thoroughly.He was reassuring about the facts of my situation and what is known about breast cancer generally. His approach was matter of fact but also very optimistic whether something was found or not. He was friendly and approachable allowing me to ask all my questions answering them thoroughly and making sure I was reassured. He has great bedside manner whilst being professional in his specialist area which he clearly knows a great deal about leaving me feeling I could trust his option and examinations, A chaperone nurse was present during the examination. I can’t thank Mr Mallidis enough for taking the time with me to explain so much and reassure me. I would recommend this consultant to anyone.

I went to see Mr Mallidis because I had been having pain in my left breast, and my GP said she could feel a lump. Obviously my mind went into overdrive and my Daughter and my Husband arranged for me to see Mr Mallidis very quickly. Well, he examined me and straight away he had a very calming effect on me and my Husband and said he thought that there was nothing to worry about, but to be on the safe side would I like him to arrange a Mammogram and an ultrasound, just to confirm everything he had said. This was all arranged for the following day and I was given the results there and then - and it was exactly as he had said, nothing to worry about only a small cyst which was not a problem. I unexpectedly had a phone call from him that evening saying he had received the results as well, and he hoped I could finally stop worrying and get back to normality. The one thing that stuck out in my mind was that if I had been seriously ill, Mr Mallidis would have been the one Doctor that would have got me through it, he was kindness and compassion in bucket loads.

Mr Mallidis is a wonderful doctor. He is kind, patient, reassuring and most importantly explains everything to you. He listens to concerns and responds in the most empathetic way. I was left feeling that no matter what happened I would be in the best care. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

I would like to thank Dr Mallidis for the great care and understanding he gave me during consultations and operations. He was so professional and caring. I could go on but it all made a very scary time so much easier. Thank you to to all the nurses and now the radiotherapy team I’m now with. Patricia Croydon
