I have been looked after by Mr Hoad-Reddick in a very caring, efficient standard right from the start. He even referred me to a Rheumatologist colleague when it was feared that I had an auto-immune disease based on my MRI as he wanted to be sure of exactly what my full issues were before proceeding to surgery. I cannot emphasise enough how happy I have been with his care and thoroughness of his approach to all matters to do with my health and the procedure and also how I felt about it all along the way. He took into account my own personal circumstances and other health worries so that my care was carried out with this in mind. Not only was I so happy with my care, but my husband who had really needed knee surgery for a decade but could not face it, has since had 2 total knee replacements carried out by Mr Hoad-Reddick in the time since my hip replacement as he had been so impressed by the care. Good care on the ward and particular great care from Liz, Mr Hoad-Reddick's personal nurse. Also his Secretary, Eve Anderson was wonderful, from my initial contacting her by phone, she arranged MRI and appointment on the same day as I lived in the Isle of Man so had to travel to UK for the appointments. Eve then arranged all other appointments from my calls and emails to fit in with my travel and accommodation arrangements near to the hospital and also checked and came back to me with any questions I had. Mr Hoad-Reddick even called me on occasions for follow-up where possible to avoid un-necessary ferry crossings/flights etc. Overall very happy with the complete care and services and could not recommend Mr Hoad-Reddick and his team more.

I was particularly impressed with how Adam Hoad Reddick listened to my description of my symptoms and then how he explained in clear language what the X-ray showed and what was the best option for sorting the problem and why. It made making a decision to have a hip replacement much easier as I understood exactly why. I had total confidence in Adam and I knew I would receive great care from him and from his Team on the Ward and throughout the recovery and rehabilitation period. I am also aware that he is only a phone call away which is totally reassuring.

I first went to Mr Hoad-Reddick after I had had another hip replacement carried out by a different surgeon. The initial operation had been a complete disaster leaving me in great pain with a limp due to having legs of unequal length. The first surgeon dismissed my problems. I felt abandoned and on life's scrap heap and it was in desperation that I approached Mr. Hoad-Reddick for help. He immediately identified the problem and with great expertise he revised the previous operation. I could then walk comfortably again and without pain. Naturally when my second hip needed replacing I went to see Mr Hoad Reddick. The operation was very straightforward and I can now go for long walks in the countryside again. Mr Hoad Reddick was kind and reassuring at all times.

Mr Hoad-Reddick had carried out a hip replacement for my mother, and had attended on my father who had hip problems - and they both rated him highly. He carried out my hip replacement and I was delighted with the way the procedure was carried out, and with the result. I would recommend him highly.
