As a Physiotherapist myself, I researched thoroughly the choice of surgeon to replace my knee joint before deciding on which one to use. I decided that it had to be someone that was qualified to use the innovative Robotic replacement technique and had an excellent reputation. When I met Adam Hoed- Reddick at my first consultation , my research was proved to be correct and he instilled me with confidence , and professionalism . His team are also excellent, and any queries have been dealt with swiftly, and efficiently. I am now 5 weeks post op. and I am thrilled with my progress and mobility . As a Physiotherapist ( and now a patient) I would not hesitate to recommend him.

I'm in week 4 of recovery from my hip replacement surgery and the whole process has been incredible. I was appropriately nervous about having it done, but Adam's passion for his discipline and confidence in what can be achieved, made me feel very calm. He was kind and gracious from start to finish, explaining everything I needed to know in language I could understand. He was straightforward and friendly in early consultations and attentive during my (very short) stay in hospital. I was struck by how streamlined Adam made the procedure. I had the Mako robotically assisted procedure with a spinal block rather than a general anaesthetic, which meant that I went back to my room feeling awake and bright with just a 'big plaster' on the wound! No catheter, no surgical stockings - nothing excess - which made such a difference to my recovery and positivity. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Adam and I know that when the time comes to have my other hip done, I'll be knocking on his door. It was a privilege to be treated by him and his amazing team.

Many thanks for your very kind words and positive feedback, I will be sure to share with the team! I am pleased that you felt it was streamlined and that pre-op explanations were clear for you. The anaesthetic varies for different individuals and I am very pleased to hear that the spinal route suited you. I wish you well in your further recovery! Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any concerns or if you develop problems on the other side.

Total hip replacement. Superb care from 1st OPA, admission, surgery, 3day inpatient care, and subsequent follow up. Excellent explanation of risks ( inc Coronovirus implications), complications & robotic surgery. I came into hospital on 2crutches or wheelchair, with severe pain on weight bearing and 2weeks later I was able to dispense with walking aids and am pain free.
