I have been under the care of Qeens Med hospital for several years, I was starting to get very disheartened as you see one person they have a different view to the one you saw before, they dont really listen to your concerns and opinion. But, then hey, last month I had an appointment with Barrie White, he was brilliant, he listened and he gave his advise in a way that was easy for me and my husband to understand, he explained everything in great detail. He gave me options, then he said what he would do to help my situation, I felt a big relief, I was leaving the hospital feeling totally confident that I was going to get the support I needed to manage my condition. Within a week mr White was true to his word, I received copies of letters he had sent to my GP and to other consultants and departments within the queens hospital requesting the care/proceedures he had recommended. I am now receiving the appointments through the post. A VERY, VERY HAPPY PATIENT.

mr barrie white was 'straight', looked you in the eye and made detailed and accurate comments in his response; I liked him and felt that he listened to all I had to say.It took a long time! The follow up action is taking a long time and I would welcome a reply to messages left on telephone.

I visited Mr White at QMC in relation to a spinal issue. I found every aspect of my visit to be excellent. Symptoms and side effects were discussed in great detail, and I felt reassured and confident in the proposed treatment. My views were considered and, more importantly, understood. I would not hesitate to recommend.

I had a consultation with Mr White about my back pain in which he had to inform me that I had a tumour on my spine, thankfully benign, which was the cause. He explained in simple terms what could be done and how an operation could affect me. Although it was a huge shock to me, in fact completely unexpected, his straightforward and caring attitude was very reassuring.
