I was seen at the Nuffield with back and leg pain. At every point of my treatment I received excellent care. Mr Chaudhary was the surgeon I saw and he took time to explain everything in detail and put my mind at rest regarding my procedure. My surgery was carried out swiftly and I am currently recovering well at home. Mr Chaudhary has excellent communication skills and it is clear he works hard to give his patients the best experience and outcome he can. If you are able to choose your surgeon I would highly recommend Mr Chaudhary. I feel very lucky to have received his care on the National Health! Nicky G

When I first met Mr Chaudhary, I had experienced severe pain for a prolonged period due to a L5/S1 prolapsed disc/nerve compression. I was at my wits end, taking so much pain medication and having had a nerve root injection which made no difference at all, I was feeling very vulnerable & emotional but Mr Chaudhary took the time to listen to me, as an individual and advise accordingly and very clearly explained the procedure and all associated risks. I have never had a hospital stay or operation before and again Mr Chaudhary and all the team at The Manor, Oxford were just wonderful. Mr Barker, the anaesthetist, also took the time to explain in full exactly what I would experience and followed up with a visit post surgery. The scar is minimal and with the non invasive surgery option that Mr Chaudhary offered my recovery period has been dramatically reduced and I am thankfully about to start my physio which considering only 5 weeks ago I could barely walk, is for me an absolute miracle. I cannot recommend Mr Chaurdhary and his team highly enough.

Took the time to: Understand not just my ailments but also the impact on my life Understand where I wanted to be in "x" weeks time and supported the remedial care that was appropriate to achieving that Re-inforced the messages about what was a realistic expectation of recovery at every opportunity: managed my expectations (actually this just hardened my resolve to deal with the problems)

Where other surgeons refused to attempt any type of surgery on my neck (C3/4) and forcing me to get a second opinion Mr. Chaudhary listened to me. He explained all the risks, (which were very high) and asked me to have a think about what would happen if things went wrong, and also the surgery was a preventative surgery and not a cure. It didn,t take me long to put my faith in Mr Chaudhary, as other surgeons informed me nothing was wrong, But Mr Chaudhary told me the truth, If things went wrong I could be paralized from the neck down, and he enjoyed a challenge. I live on my own and am 68 so again the desicion was easy, if left I would end up paralized eventually anyway. I feel very fortunate to have met Mr Chaudhary and wish I had been sent to him earlier, saving me an awful lot of pain and misery. Mr Chaudhary is a brilliant person, he listens, tells you the truth, caring and a fantastic surgeon. If you. like me are getting no where with your neursurgeon ask to see Mr Chaudhary and I can guarantee you will not regret it, especially if you have been going around in circles for a long time Thank You Mr. Chaudhary you have given me faith in the National Health again Vivienne Lutter

I had L3/4 microdecompression surgery performed by Mr Chaudhary for a prolapsed disc in November 2016. It was such a relief to be under his expert care after months of pain, and to know that my spinal issues were being addressed and explained. From the pre-op assessment, through to surgery and the post-op discharge, Mr Chaudhary made time to explain everything and address my concerns. He even visited me on the Saturday morning (while off-duty, the ward nurses pointed out) before I left hospital after the op, to check on progress. Mr Chaudhary has been very encouraging and reassuring about my recovery, and though I understand how vital my own efforts and input are in that, the microsurgery has been a huge part of the journey towards a pain-free back. I am so grateful to Mr Chaudhary and his NHS team – and the tiny scar is impressive too!
