I worked at the Nuffield Orthopaedic centre twenty years ago and the hospital on this site is totally different now the new hospital is clean and looks well cared for, the staff were all friendly and very helpful and I was seen in a timely manner.
Seamless visit with staff wanting to help rather than just doing a job.
Wonderful staff in paediatrics and x-ray
All the staff, doctors, nurses, catering, cleaning were excellent, all were attentive, polite, and caring, dare I say it, it was a pleasure recovering there, and I must mention the Physios and nurses as their patience was exceptional, without them I would not have recovered so quickly in order to get home, wonderful team !
brilliant staff, care and facilities.
My experience in the hospital was great.
I got help anywhere I go and treated with respect .
I was contacted by the Admissions team and asked to go to Windmill Road on a Monday in late June 2022, with a view to having my spinal decompression surgery the following Wednesday -an offer I couldn't refuse- as it seems the Surgeon had asked Admissions to look out for a spot for me; thanks so very much.
Everyone was so nice to me [I am a nervous patient] and from the moment of my admission to the Theatre Direct ward I was treated like a king.
After the operation, which took quite a few hours, I was looked after in the Recovery Ward by an angel in a nurse's uniform, and transferred to the Osteopathic Short Stay Unit for three nights, which was staffed by others, similarly attired.
The procedure seems to have worked. Wow.
I cannot thank everyone there enough; the cleaners, the catering staff, the nurses, medical assistants, physiotherapists, the Occupational Therapy girls, lead nurses and of course the incredible surgeons...
Wonderful.
I found all staff at all levels I encountered to be very helpful, caring and friendly.
A last minute cancellation meant I was admitted 3 weeks earlier than expected. The staff had all the necessary information to hand which meant that, even though this was a weekend I was still seen by both Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy who were extremely helpful and encouraging. As a result what I had been led to believe would be a stay of 3-5 days was shortened to only 36 hours.
The Nuffield Orthopaedic has treated me excellently and I feel very grateful to have been able to have my treatment there. The whole process was very slick- particularly with the organisation of being called in very last minute for surgery, and needing a last minute pre-op assessment and Covid swab. I was initially cared for on the orthopaedic short stay unit and the staff were all kind, chatty and interested in me as a person. I was then transferred to ward E when a ‘day case’ procedure unexpectedly turned into a 2 night stay on ward E, and was tested with great dignity. Each and every nurse and support worker was extremely kind, attentive and didn’t once make me feel like a nuisance. They were thorough and always made me feel valued as a patient.
