I am a consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon. I specialise in hip and knee replacements including revision surgery, and arthroscopic knee surgery. I work at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (Queens Medical Centre and City Hospital). Spire Hospital Nottingham, and the National Centre for Sports & Exercise Medicine in Loughborough. I have a large proportion of tertiary referral work for complex issues. I graduated from the University of Nottingham Medical School in 1994. I trained in Nottingham and Derby before completing a lower limb arthroplasty fellowship at the Perth Orthopaedic Institute in Western Australia in 2005. I was appointed as a consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon in 2007. I am part of the Nottingham Elective Orthopaedic Unit, focusing on primary, complex and revision lower limb arthroplasty and arthroscopic knee surgery. As a keen sportsman, I also enjoy treating sporting injuries. I am a trauma surgeon at East Midlands Major Trauma Centre, Queen’s Medical Centre.
