I cannot praise Mr Andrew Hilton high enough - he is a wonderful human being as well as a fantastic surgeon! He is a kind, personable and caring surgeon who explains every step of your treatment in a way you can understand. I totally trust him. He has changed my life and I cannot rate him high enough. I met Andrew when I was at an all time low - my pain was intolerable and he gave me back my future and my confidence. I now have a new job, a new fiance and have a bright future. I am eternally thankful.

Mr Andrew Hilton is the only person I would trust with my spine - I have been to lots of doctors and he is the only one who listened to me and did not make me think it was “all in my head” as some others have said! After talking to me, examining me and sorting out a scan I had a nerve root injection- for the first time in 3 years I was pain free and I wanted to dance out of the operating theatre! I gave him a big hug because he is so lovely and he cares so much for all his patients. Unfortunately, it only a few months and that dreadful, gnawing pain gradually came back. I remember sitting in his office crying and he was so kind to me. I had an L4/5 decompression done with a microscope! Although I was worried about the risks, I trusted Mr Hilton 100% and he explained everything to me so I could understand. When I was a patient at Newhall hospital there were three other ladies who were all being treated by mr Hilton and they all loved him too. Since then I have never looked back - he has given me back my life and he has my husband back his wife! I will never be able to thank Mr Hilton enough because words cannot express what a special man he is with a special gift. All I can keep saying is thank you.

I've been under the care of Mr Hilton for nearly 12 years, and he's performed 2 spinal fusions (plus a 're-work'), and a few steroid injections along the way as well. Without his care, I'm convinced that I'd be in a wheelchair by now, due to his predecessors' ineptitude and inability to want to deal with my problems. I really cannot rate Mr H enough! He's always taken the time to explain things very clearly, and is never dismissive. In the years I've known him, he's assembled an exemplary spinal team (not least of all his Nurse Practitioner Terry Summerfield, who deserves a special mention), and they are all consummate professionals. I'm in the happy situation of having been 'released back into the wild' following my most recent procedure, and while I'm very happy, I'm also a bit sad as I won't be seeing Mr Hilton and the team again - touch wood! They've formed a large part of my life over the past few years, but in the meantime I will keep urging anyone I know with spinal issues to go and see Mr Hilton. My hat is eternally doffed to Mr H, and all who sail in him! :-D

He listens carefully. He explains well. He is caring. He is very skilled. I just wish that I had discovered him earlier in my life
