I am a veteran of numerous orthpaedic procedures due to a failure of the NHS to diagnose a congenital dislocated hip. SMA's knowledge, experience and passion for her specialty underpins her ability to engage with my concerns and thoughtfully discuss the recommended surgical strategy with me. She continued to operate through a fire alarm during my surgery as I was under general anesthetic and open for a total hip replacement.
