Miss Fearnhead was quietly reassuring in both of my private Out Patients appointments and clearly explained the procedure I would have. This went smoothly and I was treated with dignity throughout in theatre. For both OP appointments I was kept waiting for a long time - over an hour for one of them. Whilst I appreciate that the patient/s before me probably needed extra time, no member of (nursing) staff came to apologise or explain. Even more remarkable was that on both occasions, neither did Miss Fearnhead when I was in her office. A simple 'sorry you've waited a while' would have been greatly appreciated. Miss Fearnhead's fees were more than my private health insurer allowed and I had to pay the difference myself.
