I have been a patient at Saxonbrook Medical Centre for nearly three years now and have received excellent service. Dr Taylor is professional, caring, kind, polite and understanding, always explains everything in detail and is thorough when trying to trace the cause of a problem. I have never felt rushed during a consultation and have been treated with kindness, empathy and respect. I cannot praise her enough.
My only issue with the practice is the difficulty in getting an appointment with a named GP. This often means waiting for two to three weeks. An emergency consultation can be made when required but this leads to a lack of consistency. In conclusion I suppose this lack of availability of appointments is a sign of their success but is a common issue throughout the country at present.
The receptionists and all auxiliary staff are consistently polite and helpful which alleviates and reduces the above comment.
She did apologise for the delay but that was the only good thing, she rushed me through and was very dismissive. I felt she was abrupt and just wanted to get through her appointments, I had less than 5 mins with her.
1. Listens carefully to what I am trying to express
2. Seems to ask the right questions to get to the bottom of the problem
3. Prepared to make physical contact e.g. palpitate, examine closely, which some doctors appear reluctant to do.
4. Have not had reason to doubt any of her diagnoses
5. No hint of the impatience that some doctors can emanate (I am not referring to others at Saxonbrook)
Very understanding person, despite my embarrassing complaint and being the opposite gender. I would definitely recommend anyone to accept an appointment with Dr Taylor.
My 11 year old son was being seen by Dr Taylor. She took time to listen to him and explained everything using terminology he could understand. We were not rushed and I felt confident that her diagnosis was thought through and thorough. I would recommend Dr Taylor to others visiting the practise.
