This endocrinologist didn't even ask me anything. Looked at old blood test results and told me basically there's nothing wrong with me!
Doesn't listen, doesn't care about the actual patient, works to rigid frame work even if a simple solution that is apparent early in treatment is established, ten months later your are still hitting your head against a wall... Avoid especially if private, actually or even nhs just avoid!
I can't speak for patients with Diabetes but, if you have hypothyroidism Dr Gallacher will suggest all residual problems whilst on Levothyroxine are not thyroid related. He is incredibly rigid in medicating only with levothyroxine, deeply unhelpful if one cannot tolerate this medicine. I am sure he is a very nice, well meaning doctor but I was left in a terrible state after several years in his care. Do your research if you have hypothyroidism and, whatever you do, avoid the British Thyroid Foundation, a patient association tied to the British Thyroid Association, the people whose guidelines keep us ill. Thyroid UK are an excellent resource.
