Recently saw Dr. Taggart after suffering sporadic chest infections and occasional wheezing/ nocturnal breathlessness seemingly triggered after contracting Covid in 2022. Visits to the GP resulted in repeated courses of antibiotics and steroids, which although reduced symptoms, never fully resolved them leading to future reoccurrence. Dr Taggart reviewed my medical history, listened to my description of symptoms and performed a brief examination and peak flow test. He immediately diagnosed suspected late onset asthma and prescribed a preventer inhaler for a month initially. The inhaler rapidly improved my symptoms within a couple of weeks. On return to Dr Taggart after a month my symptoms were virtually fully resolved. Dr Taggart then wrote to my GP informing the GP of his diagnosis and requesting a long term repeat prescription for a preventer inhaler to manage my asthma. Two months on and I am no longer suffering any symptoms at all, touch wood. I can highly recommend Dr Taggart, he is friendly with a good sense of humour, approachable, takes time to listen and evaluate your symptoms and will cut to the chase in providing a diagnosis and solution and prescribing treatment rather than arranging repeated follow ups. Thank you for my treatment Dr. Taggart. CS.

I would like to try again putting on a review for Dr Taggart, unfortunately failed after my first Consultation, so another attempt. Dr Taggart, very approachable, knowledgeable and importantly prepared to listen. Nearly three years ago I had a fundoplication procedure, in London that ended up with me being hospitalised for 12 nights. I had Pleural Effusion and Pneumonia. I am still suffering from spasms in the Lung area and Diaphragm. Dr Taggart is attempting to find solutions to relieve any of this. I am of course very grateful, and would have no hesitation in recommending him to future patients.

I saw DrTaggart at the Spire, Manchester last week. He greeted me and my husband warmly and escorted us to his consulting room. He immediately put me at ease and listened attentively to my concerns about a fitness to fly. He has great expertise regarding sarcoidosis, my long standing lung condition, and he explained the best options going forward. I felt that he would certainly try to pull out all the stops to help me. He didn’t put any pressure on me and I left feeling very assured. Thank you.

B y listening to his patients and not be judgemental and insulting. I appreciate I am under weight and trying different diets to help this. I don’t need a carer as I am able to take care of myself. My family live local to me and are very supportive in every way.I came out from my appointment feeling very depressed.

I saw Dr Taggert in November 2024 after a very distressing diagnosis from the NHS. He talked to myself and my daughter and almost instantly dismissed the diagnosis, much to my relief, he followed this up with tests which confirmed his opinion. He was very honest about my health and made suggestions as to how I could improve. 3 months later I am much improved and leading a much more fulfilling life. I will be forever grateful that I found Dr Taggert, he has definitely improved my quality of life and I'm very grateful

I wanted to express our deepest gratitude for the exceptional care provided by Dr Taggart – he deserves every positive review! I met Dr Taggart after 7 months of breathlessness and long covid symptoms and a nodule in my lung (which was a suspected cancer according to NHS). I have been let down by NHS and another private consultant and Dr Taggart, after hearing my story, decided to immediately arrange tests (for which we have been working for 2,5 months) and worked with me. I have never met a doctor like him - his willingness to listen, empathy, and commitment to truly understand my and my partner’s concerns have made a world of difference in my journey and brought me back to life. It’s rare to find a doctor who not only possesses such a high level of expertise but also takes the time to treat their patients with such compassion and respect. His thoughtful explanations and patient-centred approach have helped me after a very stressful time – he’s an incredibly warm and approachable person with a great sense of humour (what helps a lot! ). Dr Taggart, thank you for going above and beyond in your care. Your dedication to patients is truly inspiring, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have him as my consultant and only wish we met you sooner Thank you – Pete & Gaja

I went to see Dr Taggart after suffering from a chronic cough for over 6 months. I had been seen by my GP on several occasions and had been given three doses of antibiotics, blood tests and a chest x-ray. Initially I was diagnosed with an upper respiratory chest infection however even after taking the courses of antibiotics I was left with an really dry cough. It was affecting my daily life, I couldn't sleep, I was constantly coughing to the extent that I couldn't get my breath. After doing some research I made the decision to go an see Dr Taggart, which in hindsight I was I had done months earlier instead of persevering. He was amazing, he was welcoming, professional and most of all he listened to what I had to say. It was so reassuring when I described my symptoms and he knew exactly what the issue was. Dr Taggart gave me some advise and breathing techniques and I am delighted to say that after two weeks of following his advice I was cured. I can't recommend Dr Taggart enough.

I have only positive comments to make about Dr Taggart. A very caring and compassionate doctor who was genuinely interested in helping and supporting me with my medical concerns. He spent a lot of time listening and obtaining a full medical history and a few non-invasive tests before providing a provisional diagnoses and taking the time to fully explain what it meant and then a management plan to support me. His approach and manner instantly made me feel comfortable and you could sense a genuine caring doctor. Post consultation communication was also great and I received follow-up letters with full detail of what was discussed, including next steps action plans very quickly. I would highly recommend Dr Taggart.
