My first meeting with Dr Rigby i was in pain and have a complex set of conditions/disorders, she has taken me over as a patient due to retirement of my last Rheumatology consultant. Although nervous about having such great care from my last doctor was soon at ease with Dr. Rigby and quickly understood she was on the ball with me and my problems. She does not mince her words and is direct but listened to me, just what you need when in pain. Being booked in for lots of tests to confirm the new issues i was currently having having speedy responses to have my eyes checked, x-rays, bloods and CT scans confirmed and completed booked me in for a very quick follow up appointment in a few days. Although not sorted as yet well on the way to be so fills me with confidence for the future.

I currently work at Warwick Hospital as a medical secretary and for the past two years I had ben suffering back pain. My GP has referred me to various consultants and on to pain management but none of these worked and the medication that my GP gave me did not help. I had become very depressed and was not sleeping and my back pain affected my daily life. My GP then referred me on to see Dr Rigby. I came to clinic and explained the situation to Dr Rigby and she prescribed me a tablet to help me sleep so that I could address this issue first and then a painkiller for my back pain. This was 3 months ago and I am now sleeping so much better and back in the gym and just enjoying my life instead of dreading each day in pain and tired. Dr Rigby managed to help me in the first appointment whereas in 2 years no-one had been able to get my pain under control. I would highly recommend Dr Rigby as a consultant.

I was diagnosed with asymmetrical polyarthritis on the 18th July 2016. I was fortunate enough to be under the care of Dr Shirley Rigby. We met on several occasions and my journey to recovery was not easy. I found Dr Rigby excellent in all accounts. There is no doubt that she is rheumatology expert with many years of experience. However, she has many more additional excellent qualities. She was always able to explain to me in clear terms my condition. She always listened, an extremely value quality, she was kind considerate and above all extremely professional. Yesterday, Friday the 29 May 2017 was my last appointment with Dr Rigby and I have fully recovered. Her partying comment to me was ‘I am always available if there is a reoccurrence.’ Dr Rigby is such as asset to the NHS and I cannot thank her enough and the staff at Warwick Hospital and Stratford Hospital for the professionalism. The NHS is a national treasure and staff such as Dr Rigby are the backbone of system which is the envy of the World.

Dr Rigby was incredible. She was incredibly helpful and explained everything very well. Her explanation of everything was very clear and it helped me be at ease with what was happening.
