I was diagnosed with arteriosclerosis in November had angiography and an angioplasty in the coronary care unit in Wexham Park hospital in February March and April 2022. Dr Bahmra-Ariza led the investigation diagnosis and treatment and he and all the team took great great care to make sure I was safe and well throughout. I now have four large stents fitted, have a new regime of medication, and have been given advice on my road back to full cycling fitness. I feel like I have been given a new lease of life and I plan to make best use of it.

I was taken into A&E at Wexham Park Hospital just after midnight on Monday 30th August with chest pains. As my condition was assessed I was gradually moved onward to the Cardiac Department. I was very shocked to be told that I would probably need an angiogram and subsequently quite possibly angioplasty. I was then really amazed when the doctor treating me said that he would try to get the angiogram done on Monday afternoon (which was a bank holiday). A little later Paul arrived and introduced himself, apologizing for his casual attire as he and his team had decided to come in to treat me. He explained the procedures and told me I was a very lucky woman to have called the ambulance quickly. He explained the risks very carefully and the alternatives and I signed the paperwork and was quickly wheeled into the theatre. I was treated with great care and consideration by everyone. At the end Paul told me that they had gone ahead with the angioplasty and inserted two stents. He also showed me the screen showing the blocked artery which made it quite clear why this procedure was so necessary. Everything had gone well and the following afternoon Paul came back to check on me before I went home, explaining that I would be given a follow up date in 8 weeks time. I am so thankful to be looked after so well. If you have the misfortune to need this care then you could not have a better doctor than Paul.

I saw Dr Paul Bhamra-Ariza when I was very anxious and upset about my recent Atrial Fibrillation diagnosis with the associated changes in lifestyle and unknown future. He gave his time, his patience, clear information and various options for a way forward. Over and above the consultation he then called me to propose an option that even better fitted my symptoms. A solution just for me and all handled with consideration and care. I feel better already. I can definitely recommend Dr Paul Bhamra-Ariza.

Today I had a procedure carried out by Paul. The procedures were an Angiogram, followed by the need for a Angioplasty as some of the arteries were severely blocked. I found that Paul was very professional in his approach and also very thorough. He started with a clear explanation of what was going to happen and also the possible risks involved. During the procedure he kept me updated and reassured as to what was going on. After the procedure he explained using before and after images of what he had done. I will need to return to have an additional artery fixed.

I saw Dr Bhamra-Ariza for an investigative angiogram and angiography, he saw me before the procedure to explain how it would go and importantly what you would feel during this, meaning you are neither worried nor surprised during the procedure itself. I have a medical condition which affects the medication I can safely take, he took the time to contact the appropriate people to ensure the medication given was safe. This is not always the case so I was very grateful for this, and felt reassured. Post-procedure he explained what had taken place and prognosis (good), and asked if I had any questions. Very grateful to him and his team. Would recommend this doctor. He has a sympathetic, reassuring and professional manner.

I have great admiration for the understanding and immediate attention shown to me by Dr. Paul Bhamra-Ariza following my sudden cardiac problem just before Christmas. I was referred to him by my neurologist, and was most impressed to be offered an immediate appointment to see him on Christmas Eve! Since then I have had various scans and tests carried out very kindly and professionally by his cardiology team, and clinic appointments to discuss the possible cause of my problem. Dr. Bhamra-Ariza has showed great care and concern in the investigation of my symptoms whilst keeping me well informed of the results and possible treatments. Dr. Bhamra-Ariza is a physician with a kind and gentle manner and the ability to communicate well with his patients. I am most grateful for his care, and highly recommend his cardiology skills.
