Saw Dr Patodi for an initial consultation as was suffering from repeated acid reflux/indigestion issues. Was worried something more sinister may have been the cause. He was so kind and understanding and suggested an endoscopy to ensure nothing was wrong and was very reassuring about the procedure both in advance - and on the day. The procedure was done with the utmost professionalism and Dr Patodi and his team were exceptional. Very clear on the results and he discussed with me there and then and showed me photos. Mercifully nothing was found. I can not recommend him enough. Very easy going and friendly and uses layman's terms to help describe things - and clearly knows exactly what he's doing in this area of medicine.

I started to see Dr. Patodi in Summer 2021 for Constipation issues that I had. He listened very well and talked through the options available to me to help improve my situation. Unlike other doctors, where sometimes there is a push to fix the problem with medication, he took time to understand my diet and levels of physical activity. Based on the fact I was fit and healthy in terms of eating and exercise, he recommended some things to incorporate in my diet. After some time my situation improved but then I was back to having issues and we agreed to do a Colonoscopy in November 2021. Dr. Patodi managed the procedure swiftly but sensitively, explaining along the way and showing me the live video. He really put me at ease (the prep for it was awful at home but nothing he could have done about that) and I am happy knowing all was ok and this is just something I need to manage through Fybogel and my diet. No question was too big or small and he put me at the heart of it all - thank you! I also want to say that his secretary, Sally Allen is fantastic! She is super organised, prompt and also helped put my mind at ease.

I had a colonoscopy at the West Berkshire Community Hospital under the care of Dr Nishant Patodi. He warmly greeted me putting me at ease and explained the procedure, also checking if I had an understanding of why I was having the Colonoscopy. He talked me through the stages when he was carrying out the procedure. Dr Patodi then explained his diagnosis and telling me what the follow up would be, reassuring me the whole time. I had total confidence in him and it was so reassuring to deal with a caring professional. The Department was obviously extremely busy yet I felt I was still important and not a burden. Thank you.

This was a worrying procedure (endoscopy followed by colonoscopy), both in terms of how it was going to go, and the expected outcome. In the event, it was much better than I feared; the couple of days preparing at home were much worse. I was talked through what to expect and I was able to see the procedures on screen, and I went away with a printed report. Physically, the endoscopy was harder than the colonoscopy, but I was reassured by Olie who talked me through it minute by minute "you can do this" "we're nearly there..." obviously, I was not physically able to ask questions while the procedure was underway. In the colonoscopy, I was able to ask Dr. Patodi to explain what I saw on the screen, and he went back a few centimetres a couple of times to explain and reassure me that what I was seeing was normal for my age. He was calm, controlled and reassuring at all times. He explained that the report might be delayed, due to the slowness of the software. In fact he hand-delivered the report to me within minutes while I was changing into my clothes to go home, long before I was actually allowed to go!. It was a real bonus that the 2 procedures were performed consecutively, rather than returning to the ward in between and waiting for the second. In addition to my praise of Dr. Patodi, I would like to record my appreciation of the other staff in the theatre - Olie, Kate, Hannah, and Shelagh. My impression of the whole set-up in the West Berks Community Hospital was great, from the minute that I arrived to the minute I left. I'm aware that I haven't mentioned the nurse who completed my check-in. She was equally good and reassuring - sorry I didn't catch her name! Covid precautions were rigorous and reassuring.

My consultation with Dr Patodi today was excellent, this is the first time I had seen him. After a considerable time of frustration for me about hesitation with initiation of new treatment despite multiple flare ups of my condition, Dr Patodi listened to me, assessed my condition, discussed my options with me and moved to initiating the next step for me along my treatment pathway. He discussed the potential medications and the clinical trials associated with them. He was very patient and reassuring, and extremely thorough, ensuring all the necessary plans were in place before I left the consultation. He has lifted a huge weight off my mind and I feel optimistic about the possibility of my condition improving.
