I had a really positive experience at Berkshire Independent Hospital, where Professor Levy repaired my rotator cuff. From start to finish, the care I received was excellent. All the staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and reassuring, which made a big difference in putting me at ease. A special thank you to Lisa, the physio, who clearly explained what to expect after the surgery, and to Clyre, the nurse who looked after me so well (and kept the cups of tea coming!). While surgery is never something you look forward to, the team made the whole experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible. I’m very grateful for the care I received and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Welcoming, administratively slick, courteous, all staff encountered were helpful and very good at what they were meant to be doing. The facilities were excellent everywhere. The doctor who saw me initially and for the follow-up was memorably excellent. The doctor who administered the subsequent therapeutic injections was very kind and considerate. Utterly to be recommended overall. .

The service was beyond very good, it was excellent right from the off and completely exceeded any expectations I had. Every member of staff from reception to my consultant went above and beyond what I was expecting and the service and treatment was simply incredible from the moment I entered the hospital. Unfortunately this wasn’t my first Rodeo at Berkshire Independent Hospital Reading and Mr [name removed] was my consultant once again and was so reassuring and talked me through each process thoroughly so I had no doubts or concerns. The anaesthetists were so friendly, comforting and incredibly funny which is exactly what I needed to keep me calm. Also the senior staff nurse; [name removed] was amazing. She couldn’t have done more to help and was constantly there for me when needed. She made the stay in the ward a very pleasant experience. I cannot thank the entire team enough. I have never experienced such excellent treatment anywhere before and I doubt I ever will. Thank you so much to all of you. [name removed]

I don’t think you could if you tried. If forced to find anything it would be the almost 4 hour wait from my arrival to when I was taken to surgery with only one update after 3 hours of waiting. Obviously waiting anxiously for an operation Isn’t pleasant so more regular updates would have been appreciated.

This week I had nerve decompression surgery at The Berkshire Independent Hospital both my husband and I were most impressed with the amazing staff and surroundings. They were all professional kind and totally supportive. I cannot thank enough my surgeon Mr Christopher Brown and his more than excellent team for giving me my life back. I owe you all an enormous thank you.

Staff were really helpful and supportive. I was very happy with the food especially and compliment Chef. I stayed 3 days and would have been happy to stay another day. My surgeon was very good. Anaesthesiologist was obviously tired when he can to see me and had little patience with a situation where blood pressure was increasing. However when I returned for surgery 6 weeks later he looked happier and was much nicer.
