Dr Howes was very approachable, and discussed my care in a way that I understood, without being patronising. He patiently listened to, and acknowledged my concerns; demonstrating a willingness to reflect and learn in order to improve patient care, and his skills as a consultant. Dr Howes was clearly extremely knowledgeable, and through discussion with him I was able to learn more about management of my condition. Overall, he had a very caring manner, whilst being very efficient and professional. I would feel very confident and safe in his care. Essentially, I would trust him with my life in the event of an acute medical complication.
