Dr Mandy Leonhardt is one of the new breed of Doctors who actually listens to you and respects the fact that you are an intelligent person who understands their body, and talks with you, not at or down to you, as has been the vogue within the medical profession for years. I went to her to discuss the menopause, as a friend told me that she specialised in this area. I had been going to a clinic in London specialising in bio-identical hormones for two years, but wanted somewhere more local. It turns out that not only does she specialise in bio-identical hormones, but she actually trained under a pioneer in this area - Dr Marion Gluck - whose clinic I had been going to! What a coincidence! We talked through my lifestyle, including health and nutrition, exercise, hobbies, and how the bio-identical hormones had worked incredibly well for me within three weeks of me first taking them. I have regular blood checks with her to make sure that my hormone doses are correct and I carry on with my wonderfully busy and hectic life, thankful for the advancement in medical technology that made bio-identical hormones possible, and to doctors like Dr Leonhardt who are so approachable in their dealings with we patients.

I visited Mandy after thorough research and having exhausted all other avenues to help alleviate the symptoms of menopause. I found my local doctors to be disinterested,ill informed or just ignorant.
