Dr Pye took me on as a patient at the GEH and helped me through my journey with my condition for the past two years. (I've been under the GEH for over 20 years)
As previously stated, Dr Pye had time for me, listened to my worries and reassured me in a very positive way!
Highly recommend.
I had a great experience with Eleanor Pye it was worth the long wait she listened to me and did not rush me and advised a treatment plan for me going forward.
I also disagree with the negative reviews. Dr Pye spent a great deal of time with me, listened and noted everything and recommended a treatment plan to my GP. I also found her secretary very helpful
Felt dismissed and unheard. Was basically told that it’s all in my head and that I should get psychiatric care, that I should reduce my painkillers and didn’t seem to believe me when I said how bad the pain was.
Made me feel small and like a hypochondriac - my whole life has been turned upside down and ruined with pain and fatigue and this lack of validation only ever makes things worse.
Wish I never came to the appointment because I’m worried my GP isn’t going to take me seriously now, I’m genuinely devastated by this and so worried about my future based on her “recommendations”.
My brother is under the care of Dr Pye as he has primarily progressive multiple sclerosis. Although it took us 17 months to get an appointment to see her this time round, we find her to be very caring, helpful and genuine in her efforts to support him. She is very honest and gives practical advice. We also find her Secretary is helpful. Dr Pye listened to all our concerns and we never feel rushed during the appointment. We have no hesitation in recommending her and feel she is doing the best she can, with the resources available on the NHS. It's unfortunate the appointments are not more frequent, but that's down to the pressures of the NHS. We thank Dr Pye for her ongoing support.
