I recently had surgery at GEH - Florence Nightingale ward.
A huge thank you to all of those involved in my care, from the surgeon right through to the cleaners each and every member of the team was utterly professional, calm, kind and compassionate
As a nurse I know what should happen so it’s even better when your care excels what’s expected!
I am totally happy with this hospital, the only negative was that I came in contact with a Covid positive patient on my ward which meant I had to go into isolation for 14 days on the ward while being treated for a severe broken foot. This was scary for me as I had been sheltering all through the pandemic due to my Chroniuc Lymphatic Leukaemia, and severe Asthma and this was my first venture out of home. This made the stay in hospital challenging
On time- polite- personable- knowledgeable- prepared- helpful.
Told me a long time to find correct room in hospital- plan?
None
things that were good about my care included good meal suggestions, how to improve testing and injections and a revised diet plan.
nothing
Extremely helpful and trust in the knowledge and information I have been given, look forward to the help offered and getting this frustrating condition under more control and loosing so weight too.
Nothing really, happy with the service, I should of been referred to this care a long time ago.
Waited a little longer than expected for an appointment but for obvious reasons regarding Covid. Hospital felt clean, a little dated in some parts but did not affect care. I didn’t wait long to be seen by a doctor however it was a Saturday clinic. Staff that we did see was very friendly. Improvements wise I think due to it being a weekend the area seemed very quiet, no one was on reception and if it weren’t for seeing a couple of nurses at a work station I wouldn’t have known where to go or sit, it almost felt that we shouldn’t of been there.
Lady who sees my son done an amazing job was so kind with my little boy, Both ladies were brilliant.
Nothing.
Very nice and cheery.
