I have had 2 colonoscopy procedures under the Bowel Screening Programme. On both occasions polyps were removed which proved to be harmless. I cannot recommend the Programme and the entire staff highly enough. Their reassurance and attention to detail have been impressive.

Doctor Mowat has been a very competent and speaks to me in a sympathetic and easy to understand manner. I have had several colonoscopy procedures and consultations with him and he always keeps me informed of his findings. He is excellent.

What a lovey kind man. Spent time expoing my problem in great detail. I wasn’t able to go through but he called me. I’ve seen this DR many times . Hopefully hell be able to help me.

I thought Dr Mowat was fantastic! He put me completely at ease as I was apprehensive before my consultation with him. He listened to me carefully and asked questions which helped me explain my symptoms and concenerns. He was professional and practical and also caring and understanding. He reassured me and gave me a very clear outline of next steps.
I do not think that there is anything that could have improved my experience and I would recommend him to anyone in a similar situation.

I specialise in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with stomach and bowel symptoms. For some, these symptoms can be very disabling and difficult to talk about. I aim to put patients at ease so they feel able to describe their problems with the goal of determining the most appropriate investigations and treatments as swiftly as possible. I have a special interest in irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, and the early detection of bowel cancer.
