I was sent to hospital by ambulance having suffered my first ever fit in the middle of the night. Two weeks later I was seen by Dr Solinas. My wife came with me as she witnessed the seizure. She was very upset by the whole thing. Dr Solinas was extremely sensitive to her and informative and supportive t, o me. I have every confidence in him, an excellent fellow

My husband saw Dr. Solinas 2 years ago at Lincoln County Hospital. I went with my husband for his appointment and we were both welcomed by Dr.Solinas and my husband was Put at ease and listened to. After my husbands second appointment Dr.Solinas ask one of his colleagues at The Royal Hallamshire, Sheffield to see him. We were given a phone number and told to phone anytime and he would talk to either of us. Couldn't have wished for a better doctor.. My husband is now well again thanks to Dr Solinas and his colleagues at Sheffield.

I was diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy by Dr Solinas and prescribed Lamotrigine. When I told him I was experiencing a headache and tightening and thought it was down to the medication he didn't listen and actually increased the dosage. I followed his advice because I trusted him but the pain got worse and worse, so I went to see him and I could barely even stand up. He kept telling me to increase the dosage of lamotrigine and wasn't listening to me when I told him I thought it was poisoning me. In the end I decided not to keep taking it. I feel a lot better now but he didn't listen and if I had continued his advice I might have died.. at least I feel like thats true. It has taken me years to recover and I still have problems. He is an awful horrible doctor.

I have regular contact with Dr Carlos Solinas due to my epilepsy. He's a very respected doctor who's always a phone call away if I need him or his advice. On every appointment he is always very welcoming to me, shakes my hand and asks me how I've been and if I have any worries. He's also very good at listening to what I have to say and we come to a solution that we are both happy with. I handled my diagnosis very bad but he always reassures me that I will be fine and cared for. Without having a supporting neurologist I think I would still be having a tough time coming to terms with it. He's a fantastic doctor who should be recognised all over. He's truly a one in a million.

I have regular appointments with Dr Solinas for my epilepsy. Having worked in the NHS myself before retiring, I feel I can give an objective view. Dr Solinas has always been professional, knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. I have been able to telephone and speak with him as I live some distance from his clinic at Boston.
