I had my first seizure after having my 2nd child. The EEG subsequently showed abnormalities. Dr Solinas was very patient and caring and he even let me vent in his office, after explaining the diagnosis. He wanted me to leave with a clear head and a plan to manage my condition. I've been on meds since then and thankfully seizure-free. Recently, I decided to have another EEG to check on the state of my temporal lobe. I spoke to his office and he arranged it all for me straight away. Then called me to discuss the results and to suggest the course of action that would be best. What amazed me is that he also remembered personal details from my life and enquired about people and places. After 4 years of not seeing me, no less! A marvellous doctor and an excellent human being. Heartily recommend.

My partner was very poorly in 2019 with a rare autoimmune brain condition. Dr Solinas was brilliant, treated him well and arranged for him to be transferred to Sheffield Hallamshire where a diagnosis was made by a specialist team ultimately saving his life from horrible seizures. He has since made a full recovery. Dr Solinas always made time to talk to me on the phone and shows genuine care and compassion for his patients.

My wife had epileptic seizures since 1974 which had not been controlled with medication. We saw Dr Solinas in clinic at Sheffield’s Royal Hallamshire Hospital. He allocated plenty of time listening to us and asking many questions to fully understand my wife’s type of Epilepsy. He then changed her medication and my wife has been free of seizures since which has changed her life for the better. We will be eternally grateful to Dr Solinas. Many thanks.

Thorough assessment after a single TLOC episode. Very welcoming and clear in what his intentions were. Assessments were completed and referrals in suitable time frame. Overall I felt like he took the time to listen, understand and provide the assessment. A ++ve experience.

I met Dr Solinas today at Lincoln County Hospital and was very impressed by his sensitivity and attitude. I felt he listened to everything that I and my husband said and gave us time to understand what he was saying to us. He showed and explained scan pictures and explained why he had reached certain decisions. He was reassuring about the diagnosis and problems that it may create and told us to ring if we had any further questions. We were with him for a long time but he gave no impression that we needed to leave until we were ready.
