Over the last 2 years, I have been to A&E numerous times with the same issue. Kept getting told it was just infection, given antibiotics and discharged. I insisted my GP to arrange a CT scan, as my pain was lower left for so long. Went back to Pilgrim for CT scan and a Umbilical Hernia was found. I have been carrying this for 2 years and not one Doctor, Nurse or staff member, identity my problem. Absolutely appalling Hospital, sitting in A&E for over 8 hours, not being seen by anyone. There is a lack of nurses, no empathy, everything seems to be hard work for those that are working, complete joke. The Government should send an investigation team in.

Excellent throughout and made me feel so at ease from start to finish. Great service from all involved from my first X-ray which was on the Saturday to being booked in for my operation the following Thursday which was successful. Highly recommend

The staff where lovely, it's very clean. Food was nice. I spent a week in between a&e, resus and then onto a ward, a&e where struggling for beds but handled it very professionally and didn't have people all over the corridors, I was seen very quickly. My only issue was so many pain killers which did ease the pain but I have a bowel condition so require laxatives to prevent problems but overall was a lovely hospital with lovely staff.

Overall pleased with the experience however they admitted overbooking on the day so I was waiting from 7.30am until 2.50pm with no update before surgery was performed

Saturday 9/3/24. Called 999 for what I thought was acute appendicitis. The 999 service was excellent and arranged for a taxi to take me to Boston Hospital Lincolnshire UK. On arrival at A&E I was seen by a surgeon within 30 minutes who diagnosed the source of the problem as a inguinal hernia. I was operated on that same day under full anesthetic. Every member of staff I met at the hospital was wonderful. I was discharged Monday afternoon 11/3/24 with transport arranged to take me home. This really was first class treatment thank you to the NHS and all the staff at Boston hospital.

waited 22 hour A&E untill seen.....sat there with a spinal fracture and 3 damaged vertabrae.. got seen and transferred to ward 8......in my opinion a special needs ward! asked the question why was i placed there......because i was anxious was the answer! i guess i was after a 22hrs wait in agony...got moved 4 time in my 10day stay from bed to bed....even placed in a covid patients bed after he went into isolation! was told it had been deep cleaned twice....2 hrs after moving in....the cleaners arrived to do a deep clean...i was not happy. the hospital is grubby, i came home with scabies and gastroenteritus ..like i didnt feel rough enough already....its just not clean enough...staff are fantastic...overworked but they are great....i dont look fwd to returning, but no doubt will have too one day...food excellent....hygiene/housekeeping is poor.

I had an urgent appointment at the Royle Eye Casualty dept; I was looked after by reception, nurse and most importantly by Mr Deepak Kundnani, (Speciality Doctor in Ophtalmology) he had a lovely manner, I felt at ease and confident in his hands, he gave me a very thorough eye examination, and explained everything clearly. The eye casualty dept is a new wing, so it was very clean. With the current situation we have with the NHS, I can not fault the Pilgrim, the staff are very nice and helpful. Many thanks to Mr Deepak Kundnani

My 85 year old father was admitted after a fall it was discovered that he has terminal secondary liver and brain cancer. He and his fellow patients on the ward are neglected to the point of soiling the bed (they are not incontinent) just ignored by overworked and insufficient incompetent callous staff. There are a few staff that do go above and beyond picking up the slackness neglect & cruelty of others. but the majority of the staff seem to be in the wrong profession. . I would sooner commit suicide than be admitted to this hospital. It is shameful the way the sick and elderly are treated on ward 6b. They are treated worse than animals. This horrible situation is worse at night. Patients in my Dads ward were shouting for help in the night and resorted to shouting fire but were still ignored - absolutely disgraceful! I went to look for staff to help my Dad move in his bed no one was there to help. My husband and I moved my Dad ourselves. I then had the other three patients in the ward asking me for help. I felt helpless and close to tears. The Government have got a lot to answer for as have the trust that oversees this Hospital. I will be forwarding this email onto the local MP.
