My daughter has been seeing Doctor Gatrad since she was diagnosed with hemihypertrophy at the age of one, she is now six . We, as her parents were given great reassurance by Dr Gatrad`s care , knowledge and fantastic communication skills with our daughter. She has never dreaded going to see him as he is so friendly and has all the time in the world for her and us. We have been very pleased with the care that she receives from him, so a great big thank you to you Dr Gatrad.

My daughter was referred to Dr Gatrad after she had her 8 week check up and our GP heard a heart mumur. I was obviously very worried as i have had to live with a heart condition myself. Dr Gatrad listened to my concerns and conducted a thorough examination on my daughter. Thankfully he couldnt hear anything which was a great relief and Dr Gatrad was very reassuring that she was perfectly fine. I would recommend this dr very highly to anyone as he put my mind a rest and explained everything he was doing and why.He was very good with my baby and didnt mind that she was sick several times on the table.

My son Ben was referred to Dr Gatrad approximately 9 years ago. In all of that time I have always felt extremely confident about his care. He has an excellent way with children and I have always been impressed with the way that he talks not only to us but very much includes Ben in the appointment and I have never felt rushed. Dr Gatrad certainly has time for his patients and their families. He ensures that any screening or tests that need to be done are carried out to keep 'peace of mind'. I can only say a big Thank You.

i think that dr gatrad is a good dr because he tells me how im going to get on in life and he listens very well when i have a problem and he explains everything to me and i couldnt ask for a better doctor like him .

Dr Gatrad is a wonderful doctor he has helped my daughter so much. He has looked after her since she was 8weeks old. i can gladly say he has been right all of the time with his diagnosis i wouldnt trust anyone else to look after my daughter. Dr Gatrad is very professional and takes the time to get to know you and makes you feel very comfortable. he is the best paediatic consultant that i have ever known.

Professor A R Gatrad OBE has been a child specialist at the Manor hospital for over 25 years. He is nationally and internationally known through many of his publications and the 2 books that he has written. He holds a national award for clinical excellence.
