It’s was a pleasure to speak with Sonia this morning, after a year of struggling with my breathing and being failed by own GP i finally feel heard. Sonia not only diagnosed me but also put plans and procedures in place for when I am discharged from hospital and finally on all the correct medication!

Sonia made me feel totally at ease and heard. She was very informative and made me sure I was comfortable and knew how to use my medication correctly! Hospitals can be scary places, but Sonia made me feel safe! Sonia went through an asthma management plan with me and made it feel less daunting. It is clear Sonia makes me and patients alike a priority no matter what and I owe her many thanks! She is a star!

I found Sonia very helpful, gave me quite a bit of help, I have been asthmatic for quite a few years and had chest infections many times a year since I was a child. I met Sonia at Queens following a hospital admission due to a severe asthma attack. She was highly knowledgable and created a new asthma management plan to help me manage my asthma during my pregnancy. I would highly rate her.

I met Sonia at KGH in Aug 2021, she has been a God send without a doubt. She not only ensured my son got the asthma care he needed but picked up on it being more than the asthma. Her commitment to my sons treatment ensured he is now being treated by the correct people. She has always made herself available to me as a parent and my son of what is happening with ongoing and new treatments, appointments and even just to reassure us. We have an amazing NHS thanks to people like Sonia, she sure represents the best of them.

Sonia was great she met me while I was admitted to hospital for pneumonia/Asthma attack… and I am 17 years old and Sonia was very kind and explained everything to me what the plan of action was going to be on my discharge and Sonia changed my inhaler to a better one which Sonia said would keep my asthma under control. Sonia is very organised and all the plans were emailed to my mum and Sonia gave me information leaflets and a asthma pack on how to record my peak flow readings which I thought was very useful as that’s not been given to me before now. My mum said Sonia really explains well and gets done what she plans. Sonia is very thorough even checked my technique of taking my inhaler to make sure I was getting maximum benefit from each puff. And also checked to see how I use the peak flow. Outstanding service very confident in Sonia’s care plans and what is advised.
