Wendy is a star. 5 stars actually, as above scoring, but I'd give her 10 actually! She listens to the problem, works through it and has achieved marvellous results for me, enabling me to carry on my life with just an occasional visit when things get a bit 'out of key', which is then put right in no time at all. My problem is my back so that's the only area I can reference with respect to Wendy, but I can say with 100% confidence, that if you have any problems with your back, then make an appointment with this highly professional, highly skilled and charming (and fun) physiotherapist.

Profile

Wendy Skinner, BSc (hons), MCSP, MMACP, KCMT.

Wendy Skinner qualified with a degree in Physiotherapy in 1995 and subsequently spent 7 years working for the NHS, predominantly at Charing Cross Hospital in Hammersmith.

She left the NHS in 2002 to enter private practice and purchased Wimbledon physiotherapy Clinic in 2003. Since then she has continued to further her knowledge base. She has become a qualified member of the MACP and now mentors their students, has certificates in sports physiotherapy and orthopaedic medicine. Over the last years Wendy has continued with her studies and has become an accredited Kinetic Control Movement Therapist through Keele University with her end project examining muscle activation and recruitment after single segmental lumbar spine surgery.

Wendy enjoys treating the whole musculoskeletal system, but is particularly interested in low back pain, lower limb injuries and post-surgery rehabilitation. She uses a very manual approach to correct restrictions and correct tissue function and creates extensive graded exercise programmes in water and land for best possible outcomes along with the rest of her team.
