My experience of the time taken to diagnose my broken collar bone and rib was superb - I couldn't have wished for better. I arrived yesterday evening Sunday 17th November at around 17.30 and was seen by the triage nurse promptly, who was very thorough and friendly. The nurse then arranged for me to have an X ray asking for more information to be provided to the doctor. I then had a short wait before seeing the doctor who was very thorough in his examination of me. We then discussed the X ray and the doctor diagnosed my broken collar bone. On further investigation he then diagnosed that I had a broken rib (which is causing me more pain than the collar bone).
All the staff and doctor I saw were very courteous and friendly and I was ready to come home at 19.00. I now have a follow up appointment on Thursday 21st. November
As I have said I could not have had better service. THANK YOU ALL.

all the staff in the hospital were extremely kind, considerate, and polite. it was nice to meet them all. although some of the patients were rude to the staff, everyone tried to make sure that we were all treated the same.

The hospital out patient department met acceptable standards, but the care on the wards was generally substandard most of the time. My husband felt afraid to be left alone as he was so ill, therefore I stayed with him as often as I could and for all of the last stages of his care before he died.
