Very well organised department good caring staff cannot think of any suggestion to make it better I have no complaint
the only disappointment was that your reception wasn't manned during the time of my discharge and there were a number of people waiting in that area.
However, over all whilst I hesitate to say I recommend the whole experience, I cannot think of a better place to have the procedure carried out.
Thank you to all the staff on duty that day for looking after me so well.
Thank you Mandy for the teas, toast and sarnies!
Can't think of anything that could be improved other than the ease of use of the TV in the room
I have a catheter fitted and when the district nurse came to replace it she could not get the new one in and said I had to go to a and e. My daughter came and took me and we were expecting the worst as we knew there were emergency measures in please. We went to Warrington hospital and spoke to a nurse first, she was very good. My daughter explained the situation to her and she arranged for us to go straight to the surgical assessment unit. There I was only waiting 15 min when a nurse Julie Dougherty came and put me a new catheter in. She did not have any issues putting it in and she was excellent. I cannot praise the treatment and care I was shown today. I know NHS is suffering but all the staff from the receptionist, initial nurse and Julies were excellent. A big thank you for everything
The computerised screen is a great improvement, however it would be useful if it showed expected waiting times for the different consultants.
The nurses were very pleasant but the area is quite overcrowded, e.g. the weighing scales are squeezed in beside a desk. It might be better to have the door closed so others do not hear your personal details. Probably kept open because it would be claustrophobic otherwise.
entered the hospital with trepidation but very pleased I did.The whole procedure was painless and carried out with care.
I was admitted at very short notice for a wrist operation. I was kept informed of bed availability by the Trauma nurse. I arrived on Thursday 16th November. I was only in for about 7.5 hours. I was very nervous about having surgery especially about being put to sleep. But, I must say that the nursing staff put me at ease and were very caring. A student nurse called Nicole was especially good, as was a nurse/sister called Jane. I came onto ward A9 about 1.30, went to theatre about 2.30 was back on the ward at around 5.30, given a cup of tea and something to eat, was discharged about 8.30ish. I really have nothing but praise for the car and attention I received from ward A9. Thank you keep up the caring work.
the service my father got was second to none the staff was fantastic very pleasant and helpful nothing was to much troubie
I have attended an outpatient appointment today in ophthalmology, the treatment from start to finish was outstanding, particularly from DR Palimar what a wonderful man ,
Five star Warrington. :)
The staff were brilliant, but I am not very satisfied with water fountain being removed during the refurbishment of the waiting area. However, you now have a good excuse to charge an extortionate price for bottled water - obviously that was the reason for doing it. As always, the big bosses don't give a toss about the patients, just making money.
