Lovely homely feel. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my birth and stay at Straud hospital, very relaxing and added personal touch from the staff.
Yet professional.

Everything!
The care of me following c-section.
The care of my daughter.
The cleanliness.
The food.
The atmosphere.
The breastfeeding support and knowledge.
The baby manage.
The hugs when I was crying.
The friendly staff!

The care I received was excellent. All staff were highly knowledgeable and shared their expertise through demonstrations in a professional and caring manner. I left feeling confident in how to care for my first baby.

Stroud Maternity unit was really lovely whilst in labour. The midwife made me feel really relaxed and calm throughout my stay there. After the birth there was no rush for me to leave or stay, everything was my decision.

This is a very wonderful place to recover after childbirth I stayed here after giving birth in Gloucester and I am so pleased that I did! All the staff are amazing nothing is too much trouble if you want help it's there with a smile. All family and visitors were made very welcome! The food was more than acceptable. Day room available with plenty of space & comfortable furniture. Every town should have a maternity unit just like this one. Excellent facility & should never be closed as it's future has been threatened in the past. This is what the NHS should be striving to achieve as it quality at its best!
