On Saturday morning 25th November I was admitted to St Richard's for an operation to replace half of my right knee. The surgeon, Mr L Dodd and his team successfully carried our the procedure on me and I was discharged the following day.
I am very happy with the treatment I received from all the staff in Chilgrove Ward.
At my follow up appointment Mr Dodd was pleased with my progress as I am now walking very well.
Therefore I am extremely grateful for all his care and attention and would certainly recommend him to anyone.
Please don't just come to A&E unless it is absolutely necessary, call 111 first. Parking is semi difficult but I find any hospital is. The Booking in at reception takes a few minutes. You'll need your GP details and next of kin details too.
The staff were great; Polite, Professional, Friendly, Helpful and Knowledgeable. I would particularly like to thank the following Nurse's; Shannon, Tori SMART and Alex all whom helped me, treated me and took care of me. Thank you so much I cannot thank you enough. Just so you know I attended A&E on Thursday 30th November 2017 between 17:00 and 19:40 hours.
There was alot of changes iñ staff some agency staff lack respect for patients
Staff were very friendly and treated me with respect. The only thing that would be an improvement would be if the government gave hospitals more funding and gave the staff a realistic pay rise.
I had an appointment with Mr Laurence Dodd. What a fantastic young man. I feel confident now about my forthcoming operation on my knee.
I was most impressed by the kindness and efficiency of the receptionist, nurses and those who took swabs and blood
We are so lucky to have a marvellous hospital like St Richards.
I have attended St. Richards twice for surgery and have always found everyone to be friendly and helpful. Its a first class Hospital.
reception was the weakest area - nobody made eye contact or spoke for some 5 minutes. Apart from that, everyone was great!
Great team of medical staff, really friendly and attentive. Although being discharged took a while I couldn't have been better cared for during my stay. You all work so hard and make the national health system something to be proud of.
Well done everybody!
I had need to visit the Treatment Centre at St Richards Hospital earlier this week. From the minute I arrived at the reception desk to the time I left the building I was treated with the utmost kindness, courtesy and consideration. I would like to thank all in the Breast Surgery Department for making a very worrying time easier for me and can not praise their professionalism highly enough. Thank you.
I would like to say that they provide a great service unfortunately I can't the staff preferred to discuss holiday details and aimlessly walk around with paperwork easiest cases come first sorry to say
