This hospital is in need of refurbishing. The building could use a bit of scrubbing, new flooring and some paint. However, I was very happy to be there and gladly overlooked the cosmetics. The hospital staff made up for the needs of the facility. In the short-run, it would be nice if the heating could be fixed so that it is not overheated. It would be nice to have hand sanitisers on the walls like other NHS hospitals.

I visited the National Amyloidosis Centre. I was greeted by friendly staff on the reception. Over the next two days I met numerous medical staff. All were polite and treated me with respect and dignity. Thank you for looking after me during what were worrying times.

The ground floor gents toilet at the medical school entrance is not good. The floor below the urinals was wet (either water or urine). The facilities are poor.
The lift to the NAC is inadequate, resulting in long and confusing delays.
