Very good.
Best NHS hospital I have bern in.
The so-called doctor in charge was my 'named' consultant.
Only saw him once briefly at the end of an admission with numerous appointments left to other doctors.
The difficult asthma service in Fulham Road is losing its way without it seems clear leadership. Communication is often a shambles leaving patients lost in the system, letters not sent, bookings astray, no action/treatment plans given ...
Needless to say, no longer a patient there, having left for a different hospital which has picked up several issues this one didn't! I'm not the only one either. Such a shame given the location and previous reputation.
A bit of an administrative shambles is the Brompton. But the specialist staff are very good- which is of course what matters. It's a crowded and slightly depressing place. The reception staff seem to be under a lot of workload. And when they insist on your attendance at 0800hrs and don't find time for your procedure until 1530 hrs, you do wonder about who is organizing what.
Great hospital with smaller waiting lists than Chelsea and Westminster or St Georges. Would choose RBH in future if given the option.
The clinical and nursing staff at the Brompton were truly marvellous. Very caring and professional. It is scandalous that paediatric surgery is under threat of closure here.
Anyone admitted to the Brompton can be confident that they will have fabulous care.
no real problem with location quite enjoyable to walk around London
