We went in on a blue light and treated straight away my wife was moved to a ward that evening
I haven’t attended Queens Hospital before and when I waited at the outpatients reception area I was behind two older ladies who looked a bit lost. They asked one of the reception team where they should go and I was shocked to hear the receptionist being very rude to them and told them to wait their turn. When it was my turn to check in for my appointment the receptionist without looking up or making eye contact just shouted at me SURNAME ? I gave her my name then again aggressively she said FIRST NAME then told me to go the waiting room. There was no eye contact whatsoever and she was extremely rude.
Because they were always checking on me and asking if I was ok and if I needed anything and provided great care
Apart from OBS being taken at regular intervals I received no communications from any medical professional whatsoever. I had no information whatsoever regarding the reason why I had been admitted. My medication was changed with out any reason being given. All in all I would have been better off at home,at least I would have got out of bed, I was kept in bed the whole time. RUBBISH
I am speaking on behalf of my mother. I took my mum for an Ophthalmology appt at Queens. She is 91 and suffers with Alzheimer’s. She was treated with the utmost dignity and respect. She was given time to formulate her answers and spoken to about her care and treatment. The nurses were very kind. The doctor was very patient giving me time to get my mum into place and comfortably seated at the machines. She is attending appointments every three months and the care is amazing.
The staff are all amazing, especially considering how many people they're caring for. I'm very grateful for their expertise, kindness and going the extra mile.
It’s very good service
The waiting time in the A&E department is way too long. I appreciate the staff were trying their best but a wait of over 9 hours is just too long despite the fact I was taken in with an ambulance.
I went to A&E but believe me it was very poor service i got. I have pressure ulcer grade 4 but i had to wait for 15 hours on my wheelchair to see doctor. It was rubbish service if i have to say.
