I gave these answers as all the done was gave me a blood test and morphine and sent me home when I need help as I'm still in massive pain but no one wants to help not even my gp
I was in hospital for 7 hours and it didn't feel like it,everyone being attentive, friendly and resoectful under very challenging conditions.I wholehearted applaud all those I had the pleasure of being attended to by.
I arrived on 9 am with horrible abdominal pain, the first gp lovely and profesional doctor, after I was sent to be se the amergency team, nothing done, only talking, nobody knows any detail to answer you ,hours on waiting area , route nurse coming every hours with paracetamol, my conclusion is Queen hospital A&E like to have full with patients to looking bussy ,people is keeping there with nothing done , management in the A&E department is very poor ..I prefer to leave the hospital and to continue the investigation from home..initially the first consultant said I need surgery, I have to remain in hospital, after 5.6 hours on the corridor, anyone doesn't know anything I go home, to no take another viruses from there
Overall the care I had was marvellous
They were so nice and of good Communication. By explaining to me what my problem was and how I will get better soon. They’re really doing good job.
Staff at reception were horrible. They are so careless and lazy. Not helpful at all. Zero compassion.
Doctors were excellent once I got the bed. Especially Dr Nish and Dr Misbah.
I recommend to change or re-train staff at reception. As no one has a clue what's going on.
Nurses and doctors were good and attentive.
Waited 12 hours with my 86 year old mother which meant we had to leave my severely disabled father on his own. No communication for hours then told an x-Ray had not been booked even though we were told previously that it had been. Waited in a freezing cold area where everyone was given blankets to keep warm. One patient had been sitting up in the cold for 2 days!! Finally given a diagnosis which was ‘well it is probably this but we are not sure’. Given a prescription for Tramadol. When I went to get the prescription the next day it was refused by the chemist, went back to RAFT where I was told by a doctor that I had to bring my mother back and book her in again just for the prescription to be re-written. Luckily someone else who had seen my mother the night before adjusted the script to have words and numbers!! Tramadol for an 86 year old carer is not the correct drug. Had to buy co-codamol instead.
The team at queens looked after me checking on me taking observations regularly, I was sent here for an MRI , which happened very quickly on me arriving. The doctors came to see me in the morning they communicated my results and ongoing care and treatment.
I was happy with the service as expected from the NHS
