All staff and doctors were very respectful. And very nice.

Suggested improvements
I think you over booked,which meant many people were moaning about the time we were all waiting. The waiting room was so full that there wasn't anywhere for people to sit.

After waiting more than 50 minutes for an ambulance that did not arrived we run to the nearest hospital. My mum could not move , she had severe pains on the lower back ,they gave her a chair that was not comfy at all , spent hours on the waiting area with no support at all. At nearly midnight , after 11 hours waiting we have been called , the doctor was really caring and able to listen and emphasises with my mum needs. Shock to hear no doctors were available on Saturday.

Suggested improvements
I patiently waited beside my mum , I am aware there are other emergency to deal but it does not mean being left without any info or support. Lack of organisation and staff missing on the department is not acceptable . Everyone was waiting to be seen , long queues and It was absolutely unhuman.

Felt that I was ignored when waiting and then mocked when I requested information about some of my results

Fed up with the very long waiting time (nearly 2 hours beyond my appt) with no explanation simply moved from one seating area to another so that it seems you're making progress, when you're not, it also appears that some people walk through and get seen straight away.. very poor service

Because i got to a&e at 8.30 pm on a tuesday night in pain and being sick and i was left till 12 midnight before being triage then waited an hour half for blood test then got sent round corner to different bit a &e where i sat on an uncomtable metal chair all night till got seen at 11am then told nothing wrong sent me home no xrays or scans

Well could have listened to me when i said had been sick bringing up gteen bile and was in pain they said its normal but i didnt think that then one doctor says its prob gallstones pr my gallbladder but got another doctor to chrck he said said muscle strain go home rest then said bye sent me on my way no investigations just a blood test

I asked for water when I first arrived, alone, in extreme pain & frightened. Nobody bought me a glass of water. I was left writhing in agony on a chair feeling dizzy & faint. Only when I nearly passed out did the nursing staff take my blood pressure. 1 nurse was then almost shouting at me to sit still and stop moving, even though I was in extreme pain..Then another nurse tried to take my blood and was blaming me when she couldn't find a vein accusing me of not having drunk any water!! That was after they left me lying on a trolley for hours and did not bring me any water or food. The sandwich trolley had passed by while I was lying there, but none of the nurses brought me anything. I asked about 4 separate nurses and each one said they would go and look, but then never came back to me! It was only when the doctors examined me that they actually spoke to me like a human being. The nurses in the SDEC department that day were just chatting and joking amongst themselves over my head, like I wasn't there! Sometimes I even saw them playing on their mobiles, while people were left unattended and in pain.

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional care I received at your hospital recently for a broken wrist. From the moment I arrived, the entire staff was professional, courteous, and attentive to my needs. In particular, I would like to commend Dr. Kyriacou for the outstanding care he provided. Dr. Kyriacou not only performed a successful surgery but also took the time to explain the procedure thoroughly throughout the process. His clear explanations and professionalism put me at ease during a stressful time. The entire experience at your hospital, from the emergency room staff to the nurses and therapists, was exceptional. Suggested improvements
While the care itself was exceptional, there is one area where I believe improvement could be made: appointment scheduling. Unfortunately, I encountered several mix-ups with appointment times and a lack of follow-up for subsequent appointments from the Admin team. This resulted in a significant amount of time spent on the phone trying to get things straightened out.
