Staff were friendly, dedicated, kind and professional. I felt I was listened to by staff, particularly the nurses and the anaesthetist, which was really important to me and my needs and opinions were valued. I was kept informed throughout the process and the standard of care exceeded my expectations. All care was excellent and I didn't feel belittled or embarrased in any way as I have in other hospitals.
Excellent care and attention showed from arrival to discharge all staff very freindlyand the quality of care was far beyond expectation . I believe that this particular unit far beyond any other I have been in over the last few years stands out and could be an asset and inspiration to other hospitals ( it all comes down to the quality of staff and specialists that work here ) ( outstanding )
The nurses and doctors were all really friendly also the catering staff were really helpful thank you for a pleasant stay :)
My daughter was seen quickly by the triage nurse and we were directed to the children's waiting room. And unfortunately that is what we did...wait. We arrived at 7pm, and were not seen until 11pm when a nurse noticed us waiting, having seen at least 5 other patients who had arrived after us. We were then passed from one doctor to the next. We were finally taken up to the Rainbows ward (passing the paediatrician who was on his way to see us in A&E and who was then re-directed to other patients) and then waited another hour to be seen. We left the hospital at 2am. My daughter is 5 and it was a long and stressful experience for her.
The ward was great and very helpful
Extremely caring, kind, thoughtful staff who made me feel co comfortable when I was feeling vulnerable. Thank you to all the staff onbirchington ward for a lovely experience x
My son was referred with a suspected broken ankle and we started off at the A&E department, where he then had to have another xray to check the break, as he played football they were not happy that the break would heal well enough so was decided that surgery was the best option. we received fantastic care from all the staff at the QEQM and cannot thank them all enough, he is now back to playing football at the same level.
